Training in Customized Employment & Entrepreneuship

The Vermont Developmental Disabilities Council (VTDDC) seeks short proposals from organizations with expertise in customized employment and entrepreneurship for people with developmental disabilities. This is a contract of $5,000 - $7,000 to conduct training for Vermont family caregivers who support an individual with complex disabilities and/or substantial support needs.
The training must focus on best practices including discovery, job development, creating a customized plan, and options for self-employment. Participating family caregivers should complete the training with sufficient knowledge to advocate that providers implement these practices. Preference will be given for a training that can be conducted on site in Vermont later in 2022.
The Council is particularly interested in a training organization willing to allow VTDDC to document the training and retain ownership of this video. Branding and credits are
