Description: Dawson County Purchasing Department is soliciting formal quotes from qualified vendors who specialize in providing chemical and general maintenance for swimming pools through a guaranteed-pricing annual contract. There will not be a pre-submittal meeting held for this formal RFQ. This policy ensures all segments of the business community have access to supplying the goods and services need by Dawson County. Dawson County does not guarantee a minimum/maximum value for this contract. Dawson County Parks and Recreation Department has two (2) pools located Veterans Memorial Park. The main pool is equipped with a high-speed filtering, circulating and chlorinating system. The main pool size is approximately 25 yard x 15 yard, six lane pool, with a deep end extension that roughly measures 25’ x 20’. The main pool holds an estimated 170,000 gallons of water. The baby pool size is approximately 15’x15’, one foot deep. Both pools are constructed from plaster pole and tile. The deck surrounding both pools is concrete. Previous services were provided by American Pool Aquatic Solutions for the last three fiscal years, which is the maximum length for a service contract.
