Metro is seeking to acquire adequate training for safe access and egress on slopes to collect and remove dumped garbage using ropes, pulleys, carabiners, multi-purpose devices and other relevant industry equipment. In addition to training staff on repelling and climbing principles and techniques, Metro seeks on-demand consultation services to include identifying and recommending industry specific equipment that can be utilized in the removal of dumped garbage in sloped surfaces which require the use of ropes for access and egress. The equipment will complement and/or add to tools and equipment utilized by Metro’s RID
Patrol. The goal is to obtain adequate training, technical instruction and performance evaluation from a qualified and experienced firm in the fundamentals of safe rope access and egress. Each course and its materials will be prepared in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations, as applicable, pertaining to subject matter. The Provider, in coordination with RID Supervisor, will develop course agenda and materials. Please note that all training materials prepared for Metro will become the property of Metro. The courses will include hands on training to allow confidence building for each participant in dealing with multiple site specific scenarios, putting on PPE, equipment use, and newly acquired skills such as rope knots.
