NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS QUOTE FOR HOURLY RATE-TRACK HOES TO: ALL CONTRACTORS FROM: SPENCER VANBIBBER/ Right of Way Manager ROLLA PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT DATE: 2/9/2024 The City of Rolla, Public Works Department is accepting quotes for hourly rates for the use of excavating equipment with operators. The City of Rolla will receive quotes until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the office of the Public Works Director, on the fourth floor located at 901 North Elm, Rolla, Missouri, or emailed to dpryor@rollacity.org at which time and place all quotes will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following: 1. TRACK HOE The City anticipates the need for at least one (1) piece of earth moving equipment and (1) piece of equipment for mowing steep creek banks. This equipment will be used to assist in the construction of various city streets. This work will be done during the year 2024/25 and will be supervised by the Public

Works Department. The Contractor shall be responsible for compliance with Section 290.62 of the revised Missouri Statues pertaining to prevailing wages. The Contractor shall be required to obtain insurance to meet City requirements. The Contractor shall be required to sign a Hold Harmless Agreement. These standards are on file at the office of the Public Works Director. The City of Rolla reserves the right to reject any and all quotes as well as to waive any informality. A condition of the specifications is that all bidders must submit a firm quote for supplying a track hoe for March 31, 2024 to March 31, 2025. Quotes must be submitted on the "Hourly Quote" form only. Quotes must be submitted in a sealed envelope, properly identified with the project name and number. Attached to the Quote Proposal shall be any applicable information or specification sheets, properly filled out, for the items bid. 2. The quote must be filed with the Public Works Department prior to the announced quote opening date and time. 3. The City of Rolla reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all quotes. 4. It will be the City's intent to accept low competent quote if it meets specifications and conditions. 5. Person submitting quotes are advised that the City of Rolla shall consider prior substandard goods or prior substandard service delivery or excessive distance to the City as a criterion for quote rejection. 6. Quotes equal in cost and specifications may go to the local bidder (given they meet all other conditions). 7. All quotes shall meet or exceed specifications. 8. Alternate quotes may be considered, providing all specification differences are clearly indicated and contain justification statements. The City of Rolla shall be the sole judge as to the suitability of the service or equipment offered for the intended purpose from the alternate bid. 9. Any exceptions to these terms or conditions or deviations from written specifications shall be shown in writing and attached to the Quote Proposal. 10. Persons submitting quotes are cautioned to verify their proposal before submission as requests for amendments, withdrawals or proposals, if received by the City after the time specified for opening, will not be considered.
