NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE:The 31 Contracting Squadron (CONS) located at Aviano Air Base, Italy is issuing this Notice to inform industry contractors of the Government’s intent to execute a Single Source Award under FAR Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), specifically FAR 13-106-1(b)(1)(i).The intended Contractor is Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (Space X).In consideration of the circumstances of the contract action, Space Exploration Technologies Corp. is the only source that can provide a Low Earth Orbit Satellite Internet Service at Aviano Air Base, Italy as per requirements identified in PWS dated 25 June 2021 and sources sought/market research results.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 517410 - Satellite Telecommunications. The Product of Service Code for this requirement is R426 - Support- Professional: Communications.This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive

quotes. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only.No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
