The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations/Marine Operations Center – Pacific, requires MTU Detroit Diesel engines inspection and 2000-hour service for the NOAA ship Rainier in Newport, Oregon.This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.(ii) Solicitation number NMAN7200-20-01677 is issued as a firm fixed price, commercial, request for quotation (RFQ).(iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-08.(iv) This requisition is a small business set-aside under the NAICS code 336611, Ship Building and Repairing. The small business size standard is 1,250 Employees.(v) Line items
are as follows:CLIN 1: 2000-hour service and inspection on two MTU Detroit Diesel engines as listed in the Statement of Need. This is a brand-name requirement. Potential vendors are required to be MTU-authorized servicing dealers/service centers (OEM Certified).(vi) Description of requirements for the items to be acquired:  This requirement is for 2000-hour inspections and service on two (2) MTU Detroit Diesel marine diesel engines.
