Aberdeen School District #5 - Admin Building Window Replacement

Sealed bids will be received at 3:00 pm, Tuesday December 6, 2022 by Aberdeen School Board for the following project: Admin. Building – Window Replacement, Aberdeen School District #5, Aberdeen, Washington. Location of Bid Opening: Aberdeen School District Office, 216 North G Street, Aberdeen, WA 98520. All bids received shall be publicly opened and read aloud at the above time. Bidding Documents for the Work are those prepared by the Architect: Harbor Architects LLC, 345 W Wishkah, Aberdeen WA 98520, (360) 532-0980. Bidding Documents are available online at http://www.harborarchitects.com/21-12. Bona fide Bidders may purchase copies of the Drawing Set only, from the office of the Architect upon submitting a check, payable to Harbor Architects LLC in the amount of $4.00 per sheet. Project Manuals are available by download only. Bidding Documents will be available for examination during the bidding

period at the following locations: Office of the Architect, Office of the Owner, Associated Subcontractors-Tacoma, Builder’s Exchange of Washington – Everett, Dodge Data and Analytics – Tacoma. Addenda may be issued for the purpose of clarification and/or revision of the Project Manual and/or Drawings. Addenda will be sent to known bidders and will become part of the Contract Documents. Any costs resulting from Addenda should be included in the Bid Sum. Direct all questions in writing to Aaron Gozart at the office of the Architect, email aaron@harborarchitects.com. Submit questions no later than (5) days prior to the date for receipt of Bids. Clarifications will be included in Addenda. Verbal answers and clarifications are not binding on any party. Bidders shall be bound by their bids for (30) calendar days following the bid opening. A bid security, in the form of a certified check, bank cashier’s check or bid bond is required with each Bid in an amount equal to (5) percent of the Base Bid plus Additive Alternates, if any. Should a bidder fail to enter into an Agreement with the Owner and/or fail to furnish the bonds required by the Contract Documents within ten (10) days after his/her Bid has been accepted, the Contractor’s Bid Security shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages, not as a penalty. Contractor shall secure, include costs therefore in the Bid, and pay for bonds issued by a bonding company with a Best’s rating of “A,” or better, and licensed to transact business in the State of Washington in Statutory Form. Liability under each of the bonds shall be 100 percent of the contract sum, including state sales tax, for: Performance, Labor and Material Payment, One-year maintenance for correction of defective work. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2:00P, December 1, 2022 at the Project Site, 216 North G Street, Aberdeen, WA 98520. Interested bidders shall meet at the main field entrance off North B Street. Representatives for the Owner and the Architect will be available to answer questions. To be eligible to bid, all bidders must physically inspect the premises and familiarize themselves with all existing conditions. DESCRIPTION : Remove existing operable sash in existing wood windows in the Aberdeen School District Administration offices (c. 1915). Provide new windows stopped into existing wood window frames. Bidders will be required to submit the following documents: Non-Collusion Affidavit, Certification Regarding Responsibility Matters, Certification of Compliance with Wage Payment Statutes.
