D--Notice of Intent to Sole Source to DJ Case & Associates

(FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures)In accordance with FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), on behalf of FWS National Wildlife Refuge System is seeking to award a sole source action contract to DJ Case & Associates.DJ Case and Associates have designed Refuge Results with an API-first mindset, which allows products to evolve into organic, self-organizing ecosystems that can grow to handle new and unforeseen demands. The application was built on top of a Drupal 8 instance and leveraged JSON API for interacting with the data via an Angular presentation layer. This approach will allow for data sharing with the emerging FWS Drupal CMS and allow it to interact within a wider FWS ecosystem of web services. For instance, event information managed through Refuge Results could be dynamically served up on individual, regional, and national Refuge web pages.DJ Case has been working on Service website and application

development efforts for the past 10 years, so we are well versed in and compliant with government technical, security, accessibility (Section 508) and privacy standards, policies and regulations. We are also very familiar with web design and coding standards (18F web design standards, DOI Web Standard Handbook-386 DM 3, W3C, etc.).DJ Case and Associates is well positioned to work other FWS digital project like the Drupal Content Management System. DJ Case has created programs that share information seamlessly across platforms avoiding duplication among programs.This is not a solicitation for competitive proposal.
