The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or reimburse for costs incurred by interested parties providing the information requested herein.STATEMENT OF NEEDLoligo CS50030 Respirometry Aquatic Swim Tunnel System or equivalentPURPOSE: Swim tunnel respirometry system for aquatic respirometry research to provide real-time monitoring of aquatic organism metabolic processes in response to sea water condition changes. BACKGROUND: NMFS engages in research projects which are designed to target critical environmental factors which affect marine organism survivability, lifespan, and behaviors. The research will model and test changing ocean conditions including pH and temperature changes as a part of testing ocean acidity and water quality changes. Swim Tunnel respirometry allows researchers to effect water quality changes in a controlled environment and measure changes to an organism’s metabolic processes as a result.SCOPE: The Contractor shall furnish and deliver the swim tunnel, sensors, probes, and peripherals listed in Statement of Need.
