FLOTTWEG CENTRIFUGE MAINTENANCE

The MDC intends to obtain formal bids from qualified contractors to maintain and service Flottweg Centrifuges located at 240 Brainard Road in Hartford, CT (the Hartford Water Pollution Control Facility, referred to as “HWPCF” hereinafter). The HWPCF is rated for 80 million gallons per day (MGD) at the wastewater treatment facility. The facility processes primary and activated wastewater sludge. The MDC has one Flottweg C7E Centrifuge used to dewater sludge, along with a complete spare rotating assembly. This contract is for Flottweg Separation Technology, Inc. original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts and service to support the rehabilitation of the centrifuge and to support the MDC in the operation of multiple centrifuges on an ongoing basis. The MDC, based on operational needs and redundancy requirements, may choose to do multiple rehabilitations (i.e. spare rotating assembly and in-service centrifuge), or none, in a given contract period. The selected contractor will be expected to enter into a contract for the provision of services embodying the substance of the specifications stated herein.
