K041--Upgrade TRANE Graphics

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Networking Contracting Office (NCO 01) located in Brockton, MA intends to enter into a sole source procurement, pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with TRANE, for the following requirement: INTRODUCTION Vendor to upgrade of existing (obsolete) BCU network controllers to new current technology SC network controllers as listed below. Conversion will include all network controllers, required bridges, AHU graphics upgrades and conversion point mapping, scheduling, and alarming and integration into the existing Tracer Ensemble as well as all required licenses. The following BCU s are to be upgraded: BCU-2 BCU-12 BCU-9 BCU-8 BCU-7 BCU-6 BCU-11 (Research) BCU-4 (Fitness Center) BCU-10 (Bldg 88) BCU-13 (Fisher House) BCU-14 (Bldg 5) BCU-15 (Bldg 7) The NAICS code for this requirement is 561210. TRANE is the only contractor capable of performing the required work because the required new SC network controllers are proprietary to TRANE. TRANE owns the network controllers, required bridges, AHU graphics upgrades and conversion point mapping, scheduling, and alarming and integration into the existing Tracer Ensemble as well as all required licenses needed to upgrade obsolete BCU network controllers to new SC network controllers. This notice of intent is not a solicitation nor is it a request for proposal. However, interested parties that believe they can satisfy the requirement listed above must clearly identify their capability to do so in writing by Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 5 pm EST time.
