Lobby Security Upgrades Keating Federal Building Construction ProjectTHIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR QUOTE; THE GSA IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS. INFORMATION IS PROVIDED ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS. NO ENTITLEMENT TO PAYMENT OF DIRECT OR INDIRECT COSTS OR CHARGES INCLUDING POSTAGE AND SHIPPING WILL ARISE AS A RESULT OF THE SUBMISSION OF INFORMATIONDescription: The General Services Administration (GSA), Public Building Service, Upstate Acquisition Management Division, Region 2, 100 S. Clinton Street, Syracuse, NY is currently conducting market research to determine the interest, availability, and capability of small business concerns that are capable of providing construction work at the Kenneth B. Keating Federal Building located at 100 State St, Rochester, NY 14614.The purpose of this project is to upgrade the lobby security requirements in the Keating Federal Building for General Services Administration. This project was designed by NK
Bhandari Architecture & Engineering, P.C of Syracuse, NY.The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, management, and full time on-site supervision. The work includes modifications to planters, security fence, and fence swing gates, structural hardening and improvements to columns, provide temporary ABAAS compliant public entrance at the northeast side of the building, provide a storefront system between columns, and provide airlock vestibule with ABAAS compliant entrance and exit doors, and rotary door. The existing curtain wall system is to remain in place and existing security procedures will remain intact. The contractor is to ensure a protected clear path is maintained for public entry and egress. The contractor will also need to remove concrete pavement and provide concrete pavement to slope from the existing sidewalk to the finished floor level. Lastly, the contractor will need modify MEPFP systems, construct the security station, gun locker, storage room, modify the stair vestibule, provide turnstiles and provide signage. Exact work description will be identified and indicated in the Contract Documents in the Solicitation. The contractor shall comply with the projects design specifications and drawings. The work will be constructed under a single prime contractor who is to adhere to all security requirements and guidelines for building access.THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME, this is not a Request for Proposal. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.  All information furnished to the Government in response to this notice will be reviewed by the Contracting Officer for the purpose of determining whether there exists a reasonable expectation of obtaining a sufficient number of offers that are competitive in terms of market prices, quality, and delivery.
