US Prescription Brand Drug Pricing Data

Pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), the Contracting Officer may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source is reasonably available.  The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) intends to sole source to:SSR Health, LLC223 South Mountain AvenueMontclair, NJ 07042This requirement will provide access to 12 years of historical data for the majority of active US brand prescription products (approximately 1,000 brands across 100 companies). This will allow more accurate estimation of the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) Prescription Drug expenses obtained from the Household Component and Pharmacy Component of MEPS.SSR Health, LLC has developed a unique method of estimating net prices for brand name prescription drugs that uses a proprietary algorithm to combine information on gross sales from third party providers with reported sales from manufacturers. Their method controls for data artifacts such a third-party sampling error and wholesale inventory fluctuations.The period of performance is one year, plus 2 one-year options.This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government as to whether or not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
