Industry Day Notice Ambulatory Care Center and Dental Clinic Replacement Naval Station Guantanamo Bay (NSGB)DescriptionDate: Wednesday October 12, 2022Time: 9:00 AM ESTLocation:  Hilton Garden Inn – 145 Park Avenue - Orange Park, FL 32073The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast (NAVFAC SE) is seeking to generate interest and gather innovative ideas and feedback concerning the best practice construction method, to include possibility of modular construction, for an Ambulatory Care Center and Dental Clinic Replacement project at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (NSGB). Innovative ideas, suggestions and methods discussed during the conference could potentially be amended into the performance specifications and contract structure of the solicitation for the project.In an effort to increase competition and develop innovative construction strategies, as well as mitigate potential logistical challenges, any interested Contractors are encouraged to attend. Attendees will
hear from NAVFAC SE, the Medical Facilities Program Office (MFPO), and the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to gain insight concerning their respective roles in this project. Guantanamo Bay Public Works Department will provide details on base logistics and details of performing work at this OCONUS location, and the Architect Engineering (AE) firm who is developing the Design Build (DB) Request for Proposal (RFP) will share project details and provide scope insight.  The contents of the draft information are for industry use in providing feedback during this Industry Day and are subject to change.This project will construct an Ambulatory Care Center and Dental Clinic with primary care, specialty care, surgery capabilities, central utility plant, ambulance garage, medical waste incinerator, and helipad with backup power.  Supporting facilities include utilities, communications infrastructure improvements, site improvements, parking, signage, antiterrorism/force protection measures, and environmental protection measures. Breakout sessions will be conducted for interested Contractors to meet one-on-one with the Government in the afternoon. In order to allow interested contractors to prepare to participate in breakout sessions, the Government will provide a brief outline of each topic of discussion in advance of the Industry Day.
