PROJECT NO. 2324-71-510-C05-196Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge Expansion Project (CSJ 0921-02-479) Brief Description: Construction of a new “twin span” international bridge immediately adjacent to the western side of the existing international bridge. Scope of work includes but is not limited to drilled

shafts, concrete substructure & superstructure concrete bridge rail, bridge lighting, signage, overhead sign bridges, striping, fencing, etc. Eligible bidders must submit a Statement of Qualifications that includes the information requested in Item 2L of the Proposal. The Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) goal that eligible bidders are expected to meet is 3.5%. Additional requirements, including certification for nondiscrimination in employment as per Title VI, are listed in the bid documents. Once registered, you will also be added to the solicitation distribution list for changes and/or additions via Addenda form. An electronic bid tabulation shall be posted on our website depicting all bids received. Potential bidders are expected to inspect the site of work and to inform themselves regarding all local conditions, which may affect their bid. Potential Bidders are asked to post their questions on our bidding portal under the tab labeled “Clarifications” under the relative project number. The deadline for questions is Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., and the deadline for addendums is Friday, April 26, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. A Bidder’s Bond from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas, or certified Cashier’s Check payable without recourse to the City of Pharr, for the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted via a sealed envelope as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will enter into a contract with the City of Pharr. The bid bond shall be submitted before the bid opening date and time. Failure to submit the bid security shall be grounds for disqualification.
