Guaranteed-Term Infrared Services Project Description :Forestry and Parks, Forestry Division, Wildfire Management Branch (WMB) utilizes airborne thermal infrared services to aid with wildfire detection and suppression. Infrared services, currently, are broken down into three different service types: Wildfire Infrared Hotspot Detection, Wildfire Infrared Image Classification and Wildfire Infrared Aerial Detection. This RFP is aiming to combine all three (3) Services under a single contract. The successful contractor will provide all the necessary air carrier services, thermal infrared imaging capabilities and a variety of spatially accurate thermal information products. To be eligible to bid on this contract the vendors are required to already be certified on the Cache Percotte IR GRID test. This ensures the successful vendor has the capabilities to complete the IR services and that we have had previous experience with the vendor. All infrared scanning will take place during one of two daily time periods: i. Evening scans starting at midnight with Deliverables due before 06:15 ii. Daytime scanning will only be permitted under the direction of Alberta Wildfire Coordination Centre Staff. Where timely and accurate information of ground conditions are significantly threatening human lives. There will be no daytime scanning for hotspots under any weather conditions. All Aircraft must be supported by a fully qualified Aircrew. The Province will guarantee 123 days for an Aircraft, in each year of the Contract over a one year term, with optional extensions. There are no guaranteed flying hours during the Core Period. The Aircraft will be positioned as required throughout Alberta and may be exported outside of the province if required. The Aircraft may be repositioned with twenty-four (24) hour notice and for indefinite periods of time. Contact Information :-Amber Sigurdson
