North County Road Drainage Improvements

INTRODUCTION: ***THIS SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE SOLELY TO THE TOWN'S LIST OF PREQUALIFIED CONTRACTORS FOR GENERAL UTILITY PROJECTS UNDER RFQ No. 2022-05 *** The Town of Palm Beach, Florida ("The Town") is hereby inviting firms, prequalified via the Town of Palm Beach RFQ No. 2022-05, to submit competitive bids for North County Road Drainage Improvements. The project site is in Palm Beach County, Florida. The general location of the proposed work is: The intersection of Wells Rd and North County Rd to the intersection of Miraflores Dr and North County Road. Work includes the adjustment or replacement of existing manholes, storm inlets, and valve boxes prior to paving and includes the overbuilding of North County Rd between and including the above specified intersections. Work also includes installation of new curbing and storm water infrastructure to improve the drainage of North County Rd. It is of the utmost importance that the contractor follows the steps outlined within the plans

and specifications to insure the survival of the landmarked banyan trees along North County Rd. Town desire is that this project be completed by Nov 20, 2024. However, if that is not possible, project may be split into two phases. Phase 1 Contractor can start the project as soon as possible, but no later than July 1st, 2024, and ends on Nov 20, 2024. Second and final phase starts on May 1st, 2025, and ends on Nov 20, 2025. No work will be allowed during season and official holidays. Contractor is required to provide work schedule based on the timeframe provided above. Engineer's opinion of probable construction cost for this project is $1,869,109.00. The awarded bidder must provide all labor, equipment and materials necessary to complete the work specified herein. The Town reserves the right to award to that bidder who will best serve the interests of the Town, and to accept or reject any and/or all bids and to award or not award a contract based on this bid proposal. The Town reserves the right to award on an all-or-none or a line-by-line basis. Prices quoted must be valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the close of the bid.
