Substance Use Prevention Services will include the following three programs: 1. Education and Information Dissemination – Activities shall positively impact life skills (e.g., social interactions, decision-making, refusal techniques), encourage critical analysis of effects/issues related to substance use, provide awareness and knowledge around substance use and its effects on individuals, families, and communities. 2. Alternative Activities (AA)– AA provides opportunities for youth to participate in safe and healthy activities that provide constructive and positive alternatives to substance use. 3. Friday Night Live – As a supplemental leadership category of AA, the FNL program shall engage in Health Promotion, Health Education, or Environmental Prevention (EP) to influence change in social norms, messaging to youth regarding substance use prevention, and policies related to youth alcohol and substance access/usage.
