Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Office Secure & Sustainable MaterialsFunded Projects News & Events RFPName:Education and Workforce Development Request for ProposalsRFP Federal FundsAmount:$600,000 Description The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), in partnership withthe Reducing Embodied Energy and Decreasing Emissions (REMADE) Institute(link is external) , is announcing $600,000 in funding for the development of education and workforce development (EWD) curriculum that will work to increase the adoption of recovery, reuse, remanufacturing, and recycling technologies across the industrial sector. Projects selected through this request for proposals will focus on creating workforce development courses that equip the future manufacturing workforce with the training and resources they need to advance the circular economy and reduce the embodied energy and carbon emissions associated with industrial-scale materials production and processing. To deliver relevant training
content that supports REMADE’s EWD objectives, proposals should align with the REMADEEducation and Workforce Development Roadmap(link is external) . The maximum REMADE funding per project is $100,000 and requires a 1:1 cost share. EWD projects will have a period of performance of up to six months.
