Bridge Road Safety Improvements Project - Phase 1

Description: Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Cole County Commission, Courthouse Annex, Room 200, 311 East High Street, Jefferson City, Missouri, 65101, until 9:00 A.M. on Friday, August 30, 2019. The bids will be opened and read aloud at the Cole County Commission, Courthouse Annex, Room 200, 311 East High Street at 9:00 A.M. on that same day. The proposed work consists of removals, clearing and grubbing, grading, excavating, drainage structures, aggregate base, asphalt paving, pavement striping, rip-rap, turf reinforcement mat, fence work, seeding and mulching, erosion control, and miscellaneous work for: TANNER BRIDGE ROAD SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT – PHASE 1 PROJECT NO. 2017-601-1 All equipment, material, and workmanship must be in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents on file with the Director of Cole County Public Works, 5055 Monticello Road, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109. Plans and specifications may be inspected and are

available to bidders at the office of the Director of the Cole County Department of Public Works, 5055 Monticello Road, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109-9182, (573) 636-3614. Payment for Plans and Specifications A payment of $25.00 per set of complete plans and specifications will be charged for printing and postage and is not refundable. All checks or money orders for plans and specifications shall be made payable to Cole County Road and Bridge Fund. All wages paid for work under this contract shall comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law of the State of Missouri, Section 290.210 through 290.340, RSMo. 1986. A certified check on a solvent bank or a bid bond by a satisfactory surety in an amount to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid must accompany each proposal. A one-year Performance and Guarantee Bond is required. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities therein to determine which is the lowest and best bid and to approve the bond.
