Scope of Work The City of Kissimmee is soliciting proposals from qualified firms with demonstrated experience in planning and designing of municipal public parks greater than 25 acres which include street and utility infrastructure, recreational open spaces, community multi-use building venues, low-impact development stormwater systems, and non-motorized boating facilities to provide planning, permitting, design, and construction administration support services for the Lancaster Ranch Park Project.
The proposed Lancaster Ranch Park site is located in the southwest portion of Kissimmee. To the west is Pleasant Hill Road, to the East is John Young Parkway, to the north is the existing Toho Water Authority Treatment site and to the south is Shingle Creek. The property consists of approximately 160 acres. The site is now used as pasture land for grazing cattle. Pleasant Hill Road and John Young Parkway currently provide direct access to the site. Shingle Creek Regional Trail, a multi-use trail system that is currently in the planning stages, will connect the areas to the east of the project site and to the southern portion of the park. Pleasant Hill Elementary School is located along the western edge of the site and a new Kissimmee Police Department indoor gun range is being planned adjacent to the northwest corner of the park site.
