The Port of Seattle is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide on-call repair services beyond ordinary maintenance to fourteen (14) chillers located at the Port of Seattle Boiler Shop located at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (STIA) in SeaTac, Washington. The continuous availability of the chillers is of critical importance to the Port. The successful contractor shall provide personnel responsible for all repairs.
The successful Contractor shall be experienced and qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Revised Code of Washington and Washington Administrative Code (WAC), all applicable state and local fire codes, and any applicable Federal codes.
The Port of Seattle (the “Port”) herewith solicits Bids for On-call, Repair Services above and beyond ordinary maintenance repairs for the Chillers located at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (hereinafter referred to as the “Small Works Construction,” the “Repair” and/or the “Work”) as specified herein.
The contract will be awarded for an estimated amount not to exceed $300,000, which includes Washington State Sales Tax.
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary to perform the work as requested by the Port of Seattle via a Work Authorization. All Contractor labor shall be provided as defined by the labor classifications per the Schedule of Unit Prices listed in Document 00 41 00 – Bid Form.
The contract will last one (1) year, 365 calendar days, from the official contract award date, which is the date the Port of Seattle signs the Agreement, or until the contract amount is depleted, whichever comes first. This contract contains an option to extend the contract time up to 12 months beyond the original contract completion date.
A Pre-bid site walk meeting will be held September 2, 2021, at 9:00 am, at Port of Seattle, Seattle Tacoma International Airport Parking Garage, Second Floor at the centrally located purple elevators, 17801 International Boulevard, SeaTac, WA 98158. The site tour will begin at 9:00 A.M. P.T. It will take approximately 2 hours. The purpose is to see the equipment and locations. Once the site tour concludes we will take questions. If changes are required as a result of this site tour, written addenda will be issued. Only one representative per company will be allowed to participate on the site tour at this location.

Bidders who wish to attend the pre-bid conference/or site tour are to pre-register and notify the Port Contract Administrator, Liz Willig at: willig.l@portseattle.org, providing your firm name and name of attendee, no later than Wednesday, September 1, by 2:00 P.M. P.T. The title of the email shall read “SW-0320778, “Insert company name” “Site Tour Attendees”. Masks are required for all participants and social distancing will be practiced.

Performance and Payment bonds will be required with the Contract. Each bond shall be in the full amount of the contract sum.
No bid bond is required.
Labor and Industries require a “Statement of Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages” and “Affidavit of Wages Paid”. The expense of such is the responsibility of the Contractor. If the Port exercises its option to extend the contract an additional year, then new Intents and Affidavits will be required for the additional contract year at the prevailing wage rates published at that time. The contract rates will be amended to reflect the changes in prevailing wage, if any.
A portion of this Contract requires work to be performed within an area of the Airport controlled for security reasons. All Contractor personnel working in restricted areas (including AOA, Secured, SIDA and Sterile areas) on this project shall have Port of Seattle airport-issued identification / access badges in accordance with Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 1540/1542 and the Airport Security Plan. Bidders should consider the impact of acquiring badges when preparing their bids.
The Port reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality, to accept any alternate bids, and to make such award that it deems to be in its best interest and pursuant to the terms of the General Conditions. Contract time extends from Execution of the contract through Completion as defined in the General Conditions.
