DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/UTILITY SUPERINTENDENTVillage of Kronenwetter, WIThe Village of Kronenwetter is pleased to announce the recruitment for the Director of Public Works/Utility Superintendent. The Village Board recently revised this position, as the Village Board is interested in someone having experience in Water and Sewer Utility operations. The posting is an excellent opportunity for those just recently graduating and looking for their first career job or those who have utility experience but want to expand their knowledge base.   The Village will provide plenty of educational opportunities to the selected candidate to ensure that they succeed at this position and prepare them for a career in public service.The Public Works Director reports directly to the Village Administrator. The Director manages all of the operations of the Public Works Department, Water Department, Sewer Department, and Parks Department. In conjunction with the managed departments' crew leaders, the
Public Works Director plans work and schedules regular public infrastructure maintenance and equipment repairs. Additionally, the position manages paperwork, such as grant applications, inventory ordering, and other state-required forms, such as MS4 permits. The Director will work with other professionals to create the Village's budget and guide the long-term success of the Village.The position requires a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or related field, an associate degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration or related field, and two years of experience in civil engineering, municipal utilities or public works, or a high-school diploma with four years of experience in municipal utilities or public works.The successful applicant will be a team player who can manage multiple complicated projects while keeping internal staff members and elected officials apprised of progress. The Village encourages candidates that have a work history that highlights their project management and teambuilding success to apply.Pay & Benefits: This position will be full-time with a salary range of $75,000 to $90,000, based on experience.
