The Town of Apple Valley (Town) is seeking to retain the services of a qualified and experienced civil engineering consultant (Consultant) to provide the professional and technical services required to design complete Construction Plans and prepare Specifications and Engineer’s Estimate (PS&E) for the Central Road Widening Project. Currently, Central Road, from Bear Valley Road to Highway 18, is a two-mile Arterial Roadway with two travel lanes. The primary land use throughout the corridor is residential with a mix of commercial and residential north of Nisqually Road and commercial south of Sioux Road. In its current configuration, the roadway is, roughly, 26’ wide south of Nisqually Road and varies to the north. Once complete, the entire segment will be, at a minimum, 44’ wide with Class II Bike Lanes and a continuous left turn pocket. All bus stop locations will be widened to a sufficient width to accommodate buses turning out of the travel lane without disrupting the bike lanes.
