The DEPARTMENT is updating its strategic safety plan and has adopted a goal of safety first, which includes reducing fatalities and injuries on the transportation system in Nevada, reduce workplace injuries and fatalities, and foster a culture of safety. The DEPARTMENT’s safety goal will include developing an action plan and assisting the safety working

group to achieve the DEPARTMENT’s goal and improve the DEPARTMENT’s safety culture.Project Scope:The Service Provider will manage this effort, including all coordination, working groups, plan development, implementation, and training, in conjunction with the DEPARTMENT’s Strategic Safety Plan which has adopted a goal of safety first. Identify Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT), and assist the DEPARTMENT with strategies to develop a robust safety culture. The Scope of Services will last twenty-four (24) months. Reduce workplace injuries and fatalities and foster a culture of safety and health in the workplace. Includes an evaluation of the DEPARTMENT’s existing Safety and Health System and current practices around our existing workplace, daily highway maintenance activities (day and night), maintenance crew equipment safety readiness. Maximize safety requirements for the maintenance crew members of operation readiness. Maximize safety requirements for the construction activities, construction work zones, and service contracts.Project Schedule:Funding approved through Fiscal Year (FY) 2023
