Spinal Cord Stimulator Implant

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract in in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). A Spinal Cord Stimulator Implant is required for patients that have chronic pain of the trunk and limbs.  Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) surgery is an advanced pain-relief procedure that works by blocking pain signals in nerves from reaching the brain, where feelings of pain are processed. Specifically, the Wright Patterson AFB Medical Treatment Facility needs an SCS that provides a Contour Field Shaping Algorithm. The contour algorithm from the implant has the capability to find and maintain the optimal target by contouring the stimulation field over multiple vertebral levels.
