The purpose of this position is to assist the Director of Finance and Human Resources in directing all aspects of city financial accounting, reporting, recordkeeping, budget preparation, budget administration, payroll oversight and supervision of related city personnel according to applicable practices, standards, ordinances and statutes. The work is performed under the direction of the Director of Finance and Human Resources. Starting wage for this exempt position is $84,146.97 - $96,371.28, depending on qualifications (80 hours bi-weekly). Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with five years of advanced accounting experience with some experience in municipal accounting preferred, or combination of education and
experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Current license as a Certified Public Accountant is required. Four years of supervisory/management experience required. Computer experience in MS Office. Experience helpful in the following areas: Munis/Tyler Technologies or other integrated ERP systems, special assessment programs, tax collection systems and County tax roll system.
