This Request for Proposal (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Completion of the Detailed Engineering Design for Towpath Road Sewage Pumping Station Upgrades, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The Towpath Pumping Station (PS) is located in the City of Thorold and was originally constructed in 2008. The 2021 WWWMSP recommends a capacity increase from 118 L/s to 600 L/s due to impending population growth. Within the dry well of the station there are two (2) pumps, one duty and one standby, with a provision for a third pump in the future. Two forcemains, each approximately 1,225 meters long, were installed when the PS was constructed. There is a 350mm forcemain which is in service, and a 600mm forcemain which is capped at both ends for future use.This RFP is being issued to a subset of the Successful Roster Listing developed from Contract 2023-RFSQ-184 specifically Category 9.
