The City of San Carlos Department of Public Works (City) is seeking proposals a from traffic engineering consultant (Consultant) for the Traffic Signal System Analysis Project C2007. The goal of this project is to: analyze and inspect the existing traffic signal systems; identify existing infrastructure and components needing upgrades; identify new technology for implementation; establish battery back-up for traffic signals, video detection systems, wireless communication, and connectivity; prepare standards for bicycle detection; inclusion to the Smart Corridor; and develop a comprehensive plan and/or report for improvements The City's target dates for desired project delivery are as follows: Release of RFPFriday, August 20, 2021Last day for submission of questionsWednesday, September 1, 2021Proposals dueMonday, September 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.Possible interviews with top firmsSeptember 21-23, 2021Design contract awardedOctober 2021 Firms shall submit one (1) electronic pdf file of the qualification and one (1) electronic file of the fee schedule on a USB flash drive in a single sealed envelope bearing the “ Consultant Name – Traffic Signal System Analysis Project C2007”.
