FY2024 ASPHALT OVERLAY must be received by the City of Union, Missouri on or before March 28, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Office of the City Clerk for the City of Union, Missouri at 10 East Locust Street, Union, MO 63084. Bids received in accordance with the specifications will be opened and read in public at 2:00 PM. The scope of work involves the supply of all essential materials, equipment, transportation, and skilled labor for the purpose of executing asphalt overlay activities across multiple streets within the City. Specific project location and quantity of materials to be used shall be as set forth in the Plans and Specifications. A bid package may be obtained at the office of the City Engineer, City of Union, Missouri at 10 East Locust Street, Union, MO 63084, after March 5, 2024, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Proposals must be submitted on the Bid Form provided by the City of Union and placed in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Union bearing the name and address of the bidder and clearly marked “FY2024 ASPHALT OVERLAY” or they will not be considered. Proposals shall be mailed or delivered to the Office of the City Clerk, City of Union, 10 East Locust, Union, Missouri 63084. The Contractor and all subcontractors will be required to comply with all applicable State Regulations including Equal Employment Opportunities, Non-segregated Facilities, Prevailing Wage Rates and Affirmative Action Requirements, and all other work incidental thereto as described in the Contract Documents. Any person signing a contract to work on the construction of public works for any public body shall provide a ten-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees which includes a course in construction safety and health approved by OSHA or a similar program approved by the department which is at least as stringent as an approved OSHA program. All employees are required to complete the program within sixty days of beginning work on such construction project. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities and to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the information for bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
