The City of Bowie, Maryland requests proposals for the removal and disposal of carpet, padding, asbestos floor tile and mastics in the Kenhill Center Room 121 located at 2614 Kenhill Drive, Bowie, MD. Specifications and bid documents are available at no cost by emailing your request to Robin Jones (
rjones@cityofbowie.org ). The work shall be as set forth in the scope of services contained in this Request for Proposals (RFP). The City reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by the bidder or an investigation of such bidder fails to satisfy the City that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract; and further reserves the right to reduce or modify the scope of the Project in order to meet funding limits and the City’s schedule. By submission of a proposal, the bidder represents that it has the ability to comply with all requirements contained in the bid documents.
There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting on Thursday December 10, 2020 at 8:00 am at the site, 2614 Kenhill Drive, Bowie, MD. All questions or clarifications regarding this Request for Proposal shall be submitted by email to Robin Jones at
rjones@cityofbowie.org . Deadline for inquiries is 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020. Written responses to all questions and/or clarifications will be issued no later than Tuesday, December 15, 2020 to all those who request the RFP. Electronic (pdf) proposals will be received via email to Robin Jones at
rjones@cityofbowie.org until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2020. The subject line of the email must read PROPOSAL: KENHILL CENTER ROOM 121 ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PROJECT. Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud via a virtual meeting. A link (Microsoft Teams) to join the meeting will be emailed to all plan holders. All blanks on every form provided by the City in connection with this Request for Proposals must be filled in, and no change may be made to any part of the text of the form. All proposals must be signed in ink by the bidder, with signature in full. When a firm is a bidder, the agent who signs the firm name shall, in addition, state the names and addresses of the individuals composing the firm. Performance and payment bonds will not be required.
