The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst in support of the F-35 Program is seeking sources that can provide tools to support the Joint Strike Fighter program. Potential sources shall be required to provide the tools (listed part numbers only, no substituions) on the attached list (1900 line items) ordered of off an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract. The F-35 program anticipates over 600,000 individual tools to complete up to 5260 sets will be required over a five year ordering period. The procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12.DFARS 252.225-7015 will apply to this action, thus all “Hand or measuring tools delivered under this contract shall be produced in the United States or its outlying areas.”Over 95% of the tools will be ordered as in 81 unique sets which shall be delivered as individually packed sets to the contractor’s bonded storage for later delivery to NAWCAD Lakehurst Tool Control on an as needed
basis.Potential sources shall supply tools with their complete warranty from the OEM flowed down to the Government.The Contractor shall provide a Liaison for in person coordination with Lakehurst Tool Control at least 3 times per month until final delivery.Responses to this RFI shall be sent by email to Tom Kracinovich at

This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the beta.SAM. gov Website.
