Teledyne FLIR R80D Sky Raider and FLIR Tether Kit

Amendment 01 to this Special Notice corrects Response Date to 4 March 2022.The 502d Contracting Squadron intends to issue a direct award to Teledyne FLIR (FLIR Integrated Systems, Inc.), 7055 Troy Hill Drive; Suite 300; Elkridge MD 21043 for the brand name purchase of:One (1) Teledyne FLIR R80D Sky Raider Tactical Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SUAS) Operator Drone (R80-000012-2BK) and one (1) Teledyne FLIR Tether Kit (Kit-001094).The FLIR R80D SkyRaider is modified by the manufacturer to meet Federal Government Cyber Security Standards; thus, adding the drone to the United States Air Force Non-Commercial-Off the Shelf (COTS) Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) listing. Purchase of this R80 Sky-Raider SUAS and Tether Kit will ensure local fleet integrity, cyber security and compatibility with existing R80 drone and accessories.  Any other SUAS would degrade mission efficiency.Teledyne’s FLIR Tether kit is the only authorized tether for use with the FLIR R80D SkyRaider as it provides a

unique power interface and tether control integrated into the Mission Control Software. These features are not found in other tether systems and required for use with the R80D.This notice is not a request for quotations/proposals or an invitation for bids and no solicitation is available.The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting from a single source.Interested organizations may submit clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide the BRAND NAME products in writing to jose.olmo_rivera@us.af.mil and charles.rhea.1@us.af.mil no later than 11:00 am (CST), 4 March 2022.The Government does not anticipate receiving responses to this notice. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
