ADA-72478 Proposal to Extend a State Airport Land Lease at Barrow Airport

The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities proposes to extend Lease ADA-72478 (Lot 4, Block 200), consisting of approximately 10,350 square feet, at Barrow Airport for an additional 5-years, to expire July 1, 2027. Applicant: North Slope Borough. Annual rent: $3,208.50. Authorized uses: non-aeronautical -operation and maintenance of former NSB transit facility as office space for Lessee’s employees, including public reception area, rest rooms, storage space, and vehicle parking for employees and public visiting the building.This is an application filed under AS 02.15.090(c), which allows the Department to grant the proposed lease term extension without competition. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., August 29, 2022, after which the Department will determine whether or not to extend the lease.
