The project plans to add by upcoming addenda, cleanup of the “Old Lab A100” Building and remove as much ACM’s as allotted budget can provide.
Project is located on the DSHS Campus at 1100 West 49th St., Austin hereinafter described as TFC Project # 20-017-5610 (the Project). This Project will be administered by TFC. This procurement will be a two-step award process with a two-part work requirement.CONTRACT TERM: Construction is required to commence within ten (10) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed for Construction is issued. The construction contract period is projected for a term of three hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days except as may be otherwise amended or negotiated.PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A recent project completed the Tower Building renovations on the 1 st, 3 rd, 6 th and 8 th floors. The project installed new power busduct in new stacked Electrical Closets and created new stacked IT closets. This CMR will complete remaining renovations on the Tower Building’s 2 nd, 4 th, 5 th and 7 th floors, F Building and provide code compliant egress from Tower west courtyard. The project plans to add via addenda cleanup of the “Old Lab A100” Building and remove as much Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) as allotted budget can provide. General DM renovations call for the removal of hazardous materials found under the corridor floor and above the ceilings in insulation and mastic around ductwork and Variable Air Valve (VAV) boxes. The DM renovations concentrate on bringing the corridors into code compliance and replacing the VAV boxes and controls on each floor. DM renovations in F Building address the office and restroom areas only and exclude the Café. Abatement, VAV replacement and work above occupied office areas will need to take place after hours or scheduled weekends unless approved by DSHS. Due to these buildings being occupied, the work will be performed on a floor-by-floor basis (complete floor before moving to next)..Approximate cost of construction for the aforementioned project is estimated to be Three million, three hundred thousand dollars ($3,300,000)TFC is using the eProcurement system Bonfire.
