The new facility will allow the College to expand training opportunities and increase FTE for Curriculum and CCE Public Safety Programs, while addressing the growing needs of our local, county, and state public safety providers. The project will be located on an existing site (approximately 5 acres) at the Merancas Campus. The Fire Training Facility will consist of collaborative, multi-use training spaces. The following components will be considered. • ISO Certified Training Site • Open air streetscape training area • Multi-story fire training structure • Outdoor Prop areas • Outdoor classroom and support • Support and storage structures Construction Delivery:

SELECTING CRITERIA In selecting the design firm, the selection committee will take into consideration qualification information including such factors as: 1. Specialized or appropriate expertise in the type of project. 2. Past performance on similar projects. 3. Adequate staff and proposed design/consultant team for the project. 4. Inclusion of HUB firms on the design team. 5. Proposed design approach for the project including design team and consultants. 6. Recent experience with project costs and schedules as they relate to the specific project type. 7. Construction administration capabilities. 8. Proximity to and familiarity with the area where the project is located. 9. Record of successfully completed projects without major legal or technical problems. 10. Other factors which may be appropriate to the project. SUBMITTAL CRITERIA Forms SF254, SF255, and SF330 are NOT required. Submissions shall be organized per and in response to the Selecting Criteria outlined on the previous page. The RFQ response shall not exceed 20 pages (one side only) or 10 pages (two sided) not including a Letter of Interest (maximum of 2 pages).
