Description
Scope of Services
1. Regrade soil away from building, removal of landscape, of trees, and re-routing existing irrigation.
2. Relocation of existing drain & pipes, irrigation control, and clean-out.
3. Sawcut and remove existing concrete paving and selected driveway.
4. Retrofit impacted area of landscape, provide new landscape and install removed / replaced irrigation system, plants, shrubs, and or trees. Contractor will be responsible for turning a plan for the city approval and constructing it. Call for city standards on the required parts.
5. New floor drains, concrete swale, and trench drain.
6. Provide sandblasting to existing brick wall.
7. Provide new retaining wall.
8. Provide new concrete curb, sidewalk, and trench drain.
9. Remove roof drains and drain piping.
10. Provide new patching and paint per plan at selected areas.
11. Remove selected Gypsum Board at ceiling and provide new Gypsum Board per plan and paint.
12. Provide and install removed light fixtures and provide necessary electrical power, for re-installation for code compliant.
13. Provide new plywood and roofing system at selected areas for repair to match existing per plan.
14. Remove roofing to existing sheathing, remove all roof drains, repair subfloor, and provide new sheathing with built-up roofing, gravel, and cut openings for new scuppers with conductor heads.
15. Remove Brick roofing, sheathing, exposed drain piping and provide new Roof system to be extended per plan with new asphalt shingles roofing over new plywood, fascia, and new painting per plan.
16. Fully cooperate with all City agencies and other Contractors under contract to the City and assigned to this project.
17. Contractor to obtain building permits from the City’s Building Department. Plans are already check and approved by the Building Department.
18. Install electrical power and water connections for all contractors use. Provide and install one chemical toilet, fencing with green screening around the construction site and dumpster/laydown area (if needed, with prior approval of location from City Engineer).19. The contractor is responsible to familiarize themselves with the existing utilities and electronic systems inside and outside Costa Mesa Fire Department #3 to facilitate their work on this project.
20. The contractor is responsible for providing all required insurance, bonds, schedule of values, construction schedules, monthly updated schedules, attending weekly Owner, Architect, Contractor meetings, submitting monthly invoices, certified payrolls, three sets of closeout binders.
21. Contractor shall maintain during construction and provide final as-built drawings at completion of project.

Submit one electronic copy of the proposal, pages P1-P11, and the electronic Line Items section, and bid bond as outlined in the Notes Section. All required forms and sections of the Bid must be submitted via PlanetBids. Bidder is solely responsible for “on time” submission of their electronic bid. Bidders will receive an e-bid confirmation number with a time stamp from the Bid Management System indicating that their bid was submitted successfully. The City will only receive those bids that were transmitted successfully.

ORIGINAL SEALED COPY OF BIDDERS BOND MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY CLERK, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, CA, PRIOR TO BID OPENING DATE. All responses for this Bid are due at or before the time shown on each Notice Inviting Bids. Late responses will not be accepted. Hard copy responses of Submittals WILL NOT be accepted. The City is not responsible for and accepts no liability in the event a response is late due to any network, internet, or any other technical problem or interruption. Electronic PDF files of the plans, specifications and bid documents are available. The City is not responsible for any errors that may occur from the printing of any of these documents by bidders, including, but not limited to: scaling issues, print quality, failure to print and submission of all required documents. The Bid Results are immediately available to the public via PlanetBids following the Bid Opening Date (Bid Due Date). The bidder is solely responsible for “on time” submission of their electronic bid. The City will only consider bids that have been transmitted successfully and have been issued an e-bid confirmation number with a time stamp from the Bid Management System indicating that bid was submitted successfully. Transmission of bids by any other means will not be accepted. Bidder shall be solely responsible for informing itself with respect to the proper utilization of the bid management system, for ensuring the capability of their computer system to upload the required documents, and for the stability of their internet service.
