STATEMENT OF WORKPURPOSE:The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration, Atlantic Oceanographic & Meteorological Laboratory/Ocean Chemistry and Ecosystems Division requires a vendor capable of independently collecting water quality measurements from discrete sampling locations off of the Pine Island (coordinates for discrete sampling locations attached). Vendor must sample stations weekly utilizing an In-Situ Aqua Troll 600 sonde (or equivalent) equipped with optical dissolved oxygen, Chl-a, temperature, conductivity, pH, and turbidity. Cast profiles/data must be electronically transferred to recipients at NOAA AOML within 24hrs of data collection. Calibration dates for all sensors must be provided and fall within the manufactures recommended calibration intervals.TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Offshore Sampling: 650 profiles must be provided from a subset or all of the sampling locations listed below
within the contract timeline of September 2022-September 2023.Vessel Capabilities: Vessel capable of operating in excess of 50nm offshoreEquipment Requirements: Contractor must have a In-Situ Aqua Troll 600 sonde (or equivalent) equipped with optical dissolved oxygen, Chl-a, temperature, conductivity, pH, and turbidity.Delivery of Data: Sampling data must be electronically delivered to AOML/NOAA within 24hrs of data collection. Calibration: Calibration dates for all sensors must be provided and fall within the manufactures recommended calibration intervals.DELIVERABLE SCHEDULE:650 individual samplings of all or a subset of the 18 sampling locations listed below: weekly samplings, 4x per month October 2022-September 2023Data reporting: provide profile data for each of the 650 samplings October 2022-September 2023Contractor will not use any NOAA IT resources. The work will be conducted outside of AOMLDOC/NOAA/ AOML will not provide any equipment, contractor provides all equipment.PAYMENT SCHEDULE: Payment will be issued per month and will be contingent on the number of samplings completed, or samplings planned to be completed within that pay period.
