Laramie Park Sports Field LED Lighting Project Bid Deadline: January 10, 2022 at 9 a.m. The Skokie Park District will receive bids for the 2022 Laramie Park Sports Field LED Lighting Project beginning Friday, December 23, 2021 at the Park Services Facility after 9 a.m. Bids are also available electronically by calling the Skokie Park District at (847) 929-7800. The scope of work includes the removal of lighting fixtures and replacement with LED fixtures at the Laramie Park sports field as specified in the bid document. Bids shall be sealed in an envelope clearly marked Skokie District, 2022 Laramie Park Sports Field LED Lighting Project and delivered to Park Services at 7500 Frontage Road, Skokie, IL 60077. Bids will be received until exactly 9:00 a.m. Monday, January 10th at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Skokie Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any technicalities in the bidding if it should be deemed in the public’s best interest. The work of this project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. A prevailing wage determination has been made but the Park District the IDOL for public works projects in Cook County. The contract entered into for the work will be drawing in compliance with said law and proposals should be prepared accordingly and provide payment for all laborers, workmen and mechanics needed to perform the work at no less than the prevailing rate of wages for each craft, type of worker or mechanic. All bids must be accompanied by a cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the Park District for ten prevent (10%) of the amount of the bid as provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
