Activity Guides for Normal Parks and Recreation for 2021-2022

Description: Town of Normal 11 Uptown Circle Normal, Illinois 61761 BID CALL: The Town of Normal will receive sealed proposals for the following: ACTIVITY GUIDES FOR NORMAL PARKS AND RECREATION FOR 2021-2022 Bids must be submitted to the Town Clerk in a sealed envelope clearly marked “ Normal Parks and Recreation Activity Guide Printing” with the time and date of the opening, which will be Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. prevailing time, at the Normal City Hall, 11 Uptown Circle, Normal, Illinois 61761. General Project Description: Three seasonal activity guides with quantity 26,000 printed copies (per guide). The finished size should measure approximately 8.5” x 11”. For the fall and winter/spring activity guides, we will be designing 36-40 internal pages plus the 4-page cover. For the summer guide, please quote 44-48 pages plus a 4-page cover. The finishing for each guide should include trim, fold, and saddle stitch. Ink for both the cover and text should be 4 CP, 2 sides.

Bleeds for the cover and interior pages. The paper stock for the cover needs to be 80# gloss text, while the internal pages should be 50# white offset (92 bright). Please note the paper must contain recycled content or be an SFI (Sustainable Forest Initiative) certified sheet. A proof of the cover and internal pages should be provided in a Sherpa, Pola, Blueline or other comparable process prior to printing of each guide. For mailing of the guides, the company will prepare a Town of Normal saturation mailing and coordinate with Bloomington BMEU. Mailing pricing should not be included in the bid. Delivery of remaining stock (after mailing) must be made in boxes of 50 (or higher multiple of 25), turns of 25 to Normal Parks and Recreation Department - 100 E. Phoenix Avenue, Normal, IL 61761. No overruns will be accepted. Print exact quantities. No Bid Security Deposit is required for this Project. The bid award will be made by the Town Council and their decision will be final.
