Built in 1925, 178 Forge Street is a former commercial bakery and warehouse facility that is currently partially occupied by the university’s grounds department and vehicle storage. A large, three story tall, inoperable, industrial oven is still present in the building and will need to be addressed as part of this project. Relocation of the few existing occupants will be addressed in a separate project. The A/E will prepare construction documents detailing the scope of work required, develop an estimated cost for the scope of work and advise the Owner if the costs are comparable to the construction cost indicated in Section C of this document.
