Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Ft. Knox V Corps Repair Project

SPECIAL NOTICE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District (USACE) will be soliciting proposals for a Repair/Renovation of a controlled area project for the V Corps at Ft. Knox, KY. As part of the construction solicitation, the USACE intendes to include the following sole source requirements.Basis of Design: The design includes multiple instances where Brand-Name or Equal identification is made for architectural products. This new construction projects requires Architectural features to provide a comprehensive interior design package where all proposed materials are coordinated for a cohesive architectural product.  These interior material selections are the only feasible solution to meet these requirements and are also required by federal regulations and policies.Simplex Fire Alarm Mass Notification System (FAMNS) Panel: The FAMNS Panel is required as it is necesssary to be able to connect to the existing system as no other product will communicate with the existing system. Ester Gas Meter and Fisher Gas Regulators: The Fort Knox Natural Gas Shop is a base run utility that the new Controlled Area project must connect to, and the Ft. Knox installation as a whole provides this utility and no other utility or service is
