BACKGROUND: Statement of Work 1 We are requesting the purchase of a quantity of 9 each CK65 VistA Inventory Scanners and a quantity of 34 each VistA CT4x Pocket Scanner Kits or equivalent. Currently the Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks (VHSO) logistics department has no scanning capabilities at the Fayetteville location and only one operational scanner at the Springfield CBOC. Multiple scanners are needed at both locations as well as at the Joplin location. The current scanners we have requires Windows Mobile Device Center which is unauthorized and therefore all, but one scanner is currently out of service due to that. The CK 65 Handheld VISTA Scanner Kit and CT40 VISTA Pocket Scanner we are requesting meet the VA OI&T requirements. The CK65 scanner is a 3rd generation scanner for the VA Hospitals and it is designed to replace the CK3 VistA scanner. It is capable of scanning barcodes efficiently with a familiar user interface that makes adoption easy for users already familiar with the CK3 VistA kit. The CK65 VistA kit includes the inventory programs for ENNX, PRCPH, and PRCUS required for uploading inventory data into GIP, Maximo and other VHA required inventory systems. The Vista Pocket Scanner is a 3rd generation scanner for the VA Hospitals and it is full touch device (no physical keys) designed to replace the CK3 VistA scanner. It is capable of scanning barcodes efficiently with a familiar user interface that makes adoption easy for users already familiar with the CK3 VistA kit. The CK65 VistA kit includes programs for ENNX, PRCPH, and PRCUS required for uploading inventory data into GIP, Maximo and other VHA required inventory systems. PRCPH - EXPENDABLE PHYSICAL COUNT--Records inventory of expendable items PRCUS - EXPENDABLE USAGE--Records usage of expendable items ENNX - NON-EXPENDABLE--Records inventory of non-expendable equipment KWedge for Android is a data transfer utility that is designed to work with Android based scanners manufactured by Intermec/Honeywell. This technology connects to the device via Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection and transfers the data to a computer-based program. KWedge 7.x is a desktop software program used for data transfer to VistA and a licensed copy is included with each scanner. MSS Software inc. is the only (TRM) VA Technical Reference Model approved software holder approved for use in conjunction with VA required current inventory systems at VHSO. 2. Scope: The Contractor will furnish all labor, transportation, parts, and expertise necessary to provide the VHSO with 9 each CK65 VistA Inventory Scanners, 34 each VistA CT4x Pocket Scanner Kits and the necessary training. 3. Salient Characteristics for each Barcode Scanner: CK65 Barcode scanners or equivalent must include: - A standard range 1D/2D scanner - Shall include a battery. - Must include KWedge 7.0 data transfer software with apps pre-licensed and pre-installed. - Size specifications must be 8.9in x3.3in x1.7in - Must include a physical and a virtual keypad. - Must have a weight of 19.2 oz with battery. - Must have data transfer capability by USB via KWedge 7.x 3.1 CT4x VistA Pocket Scanner Kit or equivalent must include: - Pre-loaded and Pre-licensed software for PRCUS, PRCPH, ENNX, and Maximo. - Must include Android 10. - Shall include KWedge 7.x software. - Must include a dock, Power Supply, and USB cable. - Shall include a One Year Warranty for Scanners and Accessories. - Size specifications must be 6.4in x3.0in x 0.7in - Must include a virtual keypad only. - Must have a weight of 10.1 oz with battery. - Must have data transfer capability by USB via KWedge 7.x 3.2 Scanners must include the following accessories: - A quantity of 34 each self-adhesive screen protectors for the CT4. - A quantity of 34 each black rubber protective boots for the CT4. 4. Delivery Schedule: 4.1 The requested equipment is required by 01/30/2022 and will be delivered to the VHSO as soon as possible. 4.2 The Contractor will ensure all deliverables are delivered to the following address and reference the VA s purchase order number as an Attn: line in the shipping address: Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks, Attn: Purchase Order #, Warehouse Building 8, 1100 N. College Avenue, Fayetteville, AR 72703. 5. Contractor Requirements: 5.1 The Contractor shall not perform any service or provide any item that is outside the scope of work without the written approval of the Contracting Officer. 5.2 Should the Contractor have to come to the VHSO for any reason other than delivery, the Contractor shall be required to log in with VA Police Dispatch (Building 1, first floor) upon arrival to obtain a contractor badge. The Contractor will always visibly wear the badge while on VHSO premises and will be required to turn in the badge before leaving VHSO premises.
