7D20--Upgrade DIRECTV Hardware and Cable Subscription for the VA San Diego Healthcare System

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 -- Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR -- Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, specifically FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items; and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation is attached to this announcement. Solicitation # 36C26221R0102 is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) and constitutes the only solicitation. Description of Services: The contractor shall remove the existing DIRECTV analog system and replace it with digital slimline satellite with Low-Noise Block downconverter (LNB), dish mount and 55 channel High Definition Com3000 system with monthly license software subscription maintenance and support, applicable software updates, and intervening service calls for Com3000 System. The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, material, and equipment to upgrade the DIRECTV analog system in Building One (1) at the VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS) La Jolla facility.
