This permits prospective contractors to offer products other than those specifically referenced by brand name. Offerors of equal products shall include equipment brochures which clearly define the equal product, or offer will not be considered. Any information submitted by an offeror for consideration will not be returned and will remain the property of the VA. All costs associated with submitting the above are the responsibility of the Contractor and all information provided must be submitted to the Contracting Officer. All offers must work with existing equipment that has already been purchased and is currently in use at the station and to meet standardization requirements throughout the hospital. General Description of Performance Requirements and Features of the System: A high-capacity mechanical washer intended for use in the efficient cleaning and intermediate-level disinfection of case carts, containers, utensils, theater shoes, and other miscellaneous reusable items used in the care of patients. The Eastern Kansas Health Care System is requesting to purchase the Steris AMSCO 1215 Cart and Utensil Washer/Disinfector or equal product. This request is needed to meet Sterile Processing Services (SPS) Veterans Integrated Services Networks (VISN) Sterilization requirements. Steris is a product that has been used in the VA community and will be easy to operate. Items Needed: All Item Descriptions listed below correspond directly to a Steris AMSCO 1215 Cart and Utensil Washer/Disinfector. Any items quoted must be equal to the Steris AMSCO 1215 Cart and Utensil Washer/Disinfector. Requirements: Single (Pass-through) manual swing door the allotted space will only accommodate a single door configuration. Conformity to seismic building code requirements. Left-handed and right-handed swing door capabilities for opening direction. Pure Water: 3/4" NPT. Hot Water: 3/4" NPT. Cold Water: 1" NPT. Steam: 1" NPT. Condensate Return: 1" NPT. Compressed Air: 1/8" NPT. Ventilation: 152 mm (6") O.D. Drain: Recommended maximum 102 (4 ) [round or square] x 205 mm (8 ) [deep] floor sink. Dual monitoring system for monitoring water temperature and chemical injection parameters. Recommended (not required) Air Compressor: Electrical Compressor Motor: 208, 230 or 460 V, 60 Hz, 3-Phase. Spraying system providing maximum full load coverage and cycle time optimization. Sumpless solution delivery system. Chemical injection system: one for neutral or alkaline detergent, one for rinse or dry aid and one for descaler agent. Pure water line to meet stringent sterilization parameters. Automatic floor tilting system to ensure proper draining off of flat surfaces. ConnectAssure technology: Assists sterile processing departments with record keeping through automated collection and organization of cycle information. This will coincide with the move within both campuses to standardize equipment for automated functionality and record keeping. Emergency Stop push buttons Door interlock. Door engaged/secure until cycle complete. On/Off Switch. Allows operator to shut down control power and drain sump. Safety Door sensor: prevents a cycle from starting if doors are not fully engaged. Emergency door opening push button: Allows for safe operation and controlled disengagement if required by operator. Control System permitting cycle progression automatically through all designated phases asp programmed and stores all cycle data to prevent data loss in case of power disruption. Technical Specifications: The info listed below is for the AMSCO 1215 unit from Steris and does fit within the designated room that is approved for install of a cart washer.
