The system is comprised of three public golf courses including Los Lagos Golf Course, Rancho Del Pueblo Golf Course, and the Municipal Golf Course. The City’s golf course system is part of a large inventory of parks, trails, and amenities that the Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS) oversees as part of its mission of connecting people through Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services for an Active San Jose. The City values the golf courses for the open space and recreational opportunities they provide and is committed to continuing to deliver this value and benefit for the community. Simultaneously, the City is
focused on the financial sustainability of the golf courses and is exploring innovative approaches to management and marketing of the properties to ensure optimal use by City residents. The City intends to enter into a revenue sharing lease agreement, with the selected operator for a period of fifteen (15) years.
