The BESS will be purchased by a General Contractor under a contract with SBMWD. An Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between SBMWD and the preselected Equipment Supplier will be signed as part of the preselection process to provide the development of the shop drawings and detailed design around the preselected equipment within the strict project schedule. Equipment and materials shall be built, tested and labeled in accordance with applicable NEMA, ANSI, and UL standards and installed to meet local regulations and ordinances. The manufacturer shall be well established company regularly engaged in the application, engineering, manufacturing, integration and testing of BESS systems for microgrid systems for a period of at least five (5) years and can demonstrate that these products have been utilized in satisfactory use in functioning systems for similar applications. Installer Qualifications: Authorized representative who is an experienced installer of the power monitoring and control equipment manufacturer for both installation and maintenance of the required equipment and materials. Other Details 10-year term with up to one average daily cycle, with no rest period restrictions between charging and discharging; The equipment furnished under this Contract shall be guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship, design and/or materials for a period of one (1) year unless otherwise specified in the individual equipment specifications or in the bidding documents. See Spec 46 00 00 - Equipment General Provisions for more details. Notes Bidder is solely responsible for on time submission of their electronic bid. The Department will only consider bids that have been transmitted successfully and have been issued an ebid confirmation number with a time stamp form the Bid Management System indicating that bid was submitted successfully. Transmission of bids by any other means will not be accepted. Bidder shall be solely responsible for informing itself with respect to the proper utilization of the bid management system, for ensuring the capability of their computer system to upload the required documents, and for the stability of their internet service. Failure of the bidder to successfully submit an electronic bid shall be at the bidder's sole risk and no relief will be given for late and/or improperly submitted bids.
