Together these counties include 191 cities, cover more than 38,000 square miles, and are home to over 19 million people. SCAG maintains vital data repositories for modeling planning analyses and projections, and for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) that support a continuous, comprehensive, and coordinated planning process in areas such as regional transportation, demographic projections, tracking of integrated land use, housing, employment, transportation programs, performance measures, and air quality planning and management. OBJECTIVE This RFP is issued for purposes of establishing a GIS consulting organization who will work closely with SCAG’s IT-GIS Application Development & Support team. Consultant will support and supplement in-house team in managing, developing, and maintaining business solutions for SCAG. Submittals received in response to this RFP will be evaluated using the evaluation score sheet outlined in Attachment 3. Consultant must be capable of providing high-quality systems design, development, maintenance, and support services; project management; business/system analyses; IT quality assurance (QA); and IT maintenance and integration of key systems, enterprise geographic information system (EGIS).
