AMENDMENT NOTICEAmendment 0001 adding language for multiple awards has been posted.RFI NOTICERFI Version 1 has been posted.SOLICITATION NOTICESolicitation and associated attachments are now available.SYNOPSISRequirement: Trail construction to complete the following: Lower Deadfall Meadows Trail (NSF Trail 6W05) – improve non-motorized trail access in conjunction with mitigating resource damage that is occurring through the wet meadow system. This work consists of constructing an elevated boardwalk with French/rock underdrains installed (~600 ft.) and complete general maintenance on the remaining trail up to the junction with the Pacific Crest Trail (~ 1 mile).  All trail work will be required to follow NFS Trail Plan Standards and Specifications for non-motorized Class 3 pack & saddle designed use and managed use for hiking/mountain biking prescriptions; Eddy Creek Trail (NFS Trail 6W02) – Reconstruct ~3/4 miles of the Parks Eddy non-motorized trail by installing rolling dips,
converting the first section of trail back to a 24” width, construct climbing turns, and physically restrict motorized access to the wet meadows.   All trail work will be required to follow NFS Trail Plan Standards and Specifications for non-motorized Class 3 pack & saddle designed use and managed use for hiking/mountain biking prescriptions; South Gate Meadow Trail - to improve/repair trail tread conditions of two designated trails (approximately 1 mile total) in the South Gate Meadows “area” to allow proper hydrological flow and user access without harming native vegetation or contributing to erosion along the streambanks. Additionally, one of the designated trails will continue to the spring headwaters and repairs/minor reroutes will need to be completed on this trail. All remaining user-created trails leading to the spring will be restored.  This trail project is in the Mt. Shasta Wilderness and must follow non-mechanized equipment requirements. All trail work will be required to follow NFS Trail Plan Standards and Specifications for non-motorized Class 2 designed use and managed use for hiking prescriptions.Location: Lower Deadfall Meadows is accessible from CA I-5, heading north take exit 751 toward Edgewood/Gazelle.  Turn left onto Edgewood and continue to Old Hwy 99.  Turn right onto Stewart Springs Road, in ~1/2 miles turn left to stay on Stewart Springs Road.  In ~4 miles turn right onto Forest Road 42N17 for ~10.5 miles.Eddy Creek Trail (Parks Creek Trailhead) is accessible from CA I-5, heading north take exit 751 (near Weed, CA) toward Edgewood/Gazelle.  Turn left onto Edgewood and continue to Old Hwy 99.  Turn right onto Stewart Springs Road, in ~1/2 miles turn left to stay on Stewart Springs Road.  In ~4 miles turn right onto Forest Road 42N17 for ~9 miles.South Gate Meadow Trail is accessible from CA I-5, heading north take exit 738 to W Lake Street (County Rd A-10), turn right onto W Lake Street, continue straight onto E Lake St (E Lake St turns slightly left and becomes N Washington Dr).  Continue on County Rd A-10 (Everitt Memorial Hwy) for ~14 miles.FAR 36.204 Disclosure of Magnitude (base and all options (if any)): (c) between $100,000 and $250,000Contract Time: It is estimated the project will start in August/September and be completed by September/October 2022.Set Asides: This procurement is being solicited as a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990. The related small business size standard is $39.5 million.Solicitation Info: Solicitation is being conducted under FAR Part 13. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered.Site Visit/Pre-Quote Conference: It has not yet been determined if an organized site visit will be held.  This information will be available in the solicitation when posted.Bonds: If quote is over $150,000.00 a bid guarantee is required to be submitted with quote.  After award, there is a requirement for payment and/or performance protection.  If quote is between $35,000 and $150,000, payment protection will be required after award for 100% of the award price and be submitted within 10 days after contract award.
