Ventilators 980 Preventive Maintenance and Repairs Service Agreement Montana VA Health Care System Fort Harrison, MT 59636 PURPOSE: Montana VA Health Care System, WY, requires the contractor to provide preventive maintenance and repairs for Puritan Bennett ventilators 980, in accordance with this PWS, in an efficient and cost-effective manner, supporting the VA mission. This is a non-personal services contract. The Contractor, its employees, agents and subcontractors shall not be considered VA employees for any purpose of fulfilling the PWS and shall be considered employees of the Contractor. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, parts, equipment, tools, shipping, transportation, insurances, licenses, certifications and supervision necessary to provide services in accordance with this Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Contractor is responsible for all charges and fees related to disposal. For a contract of this size, scope and complexity, the successful Contractor must
perform in a professional manner as recognized by commercial industry standards as good to excellent. TASKS and REQUIREMENTS: Contractor must complete preventive maintenance and repairs (on all equipment listed in table below) to include the following: The Contractor must replace and calibrate oxygen sensors. The Contractor must replace exhalation filters. The Contractor must complete flow sensor calibration and SST after EVO reinstallation. The Contractor must pretest the EVQ before storage. The Contractor is required to replace and calibrate exhalation flow sensor assembly. The Contractor must run extended self-test (EST). The Contractor is required to test alarm systems. The Contractor must replace batteries when needed. The Contractor must perform electrical safety test and inspect ventilator for mechanical damage. The Contractor is required to perform atmospheric pressure transducer calibration. The Contractor must replace components included in the 10 K pm kit. The Contractor must use new, standard parts for equipment. The Contractor must service the medical equipment in accordance to manufacturer s specification and preventive maintenance recommendations.
